36"x78"x1.75 Vintage Colonial Entry Door w/4 lites & 4 Raised Panels. Vintage, exterior door salvaged from Northeastern PA. It is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is painted white on the exterior side and stained and finished on the interior. It has 4 small lites at the top with 4 bold, raised panels underneath.

The door was built sometime around the middle of the previous century. It's quite heavy and weighs about 70lbs. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, and soft wood.

New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant. Rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Condition : Except for the a couple of dents at the bottom of the door on the interior side (see last 2 photos), the door is in great shape. Expect the typical nicks, scrapes, and scratches, which are common for a door this old, but nothing serious like broken or cracked joints, rot, or warp. The minor cosmetic blemishes will be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. The door is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. The other 3 are intact and in great condition with only light scratches.

We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. Swing : The door is currently set up to swing into the home, towards the left or away towards the right. Modification : We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs.

We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with mirror or wooden panels, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Door : 35 3/4 " x 78 1/8 " - 78 3/8 " x 1 3/4 " thick.
