36x73 Antique Vintage SOLID Wood Wooden Exterior Entry Door Window Glass Lite
36"x73" Antique Front Entry Door w/4 Window & 2 Panels. Handsome, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine and is completely painted. It has 4 windows and 2 raised panels below. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, and soft wood.
New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door has a unique, Victorian style arrangement of 4, true-divided windows with old, wavy glass.
Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware. Strong, sturdy, and in good structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage on the door are its cracked panels (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it ha. S will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".Ll of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches. The door was installed using surface-mount hinges, so there are no mortises (slots or pockets) along the side of the door to consider. You could install your hardware wherever you like and define the swing of the door. We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc.
