33"x82.5"x1.75 Antique Entry Door w/12 Windows & 1 Panel. Wow, what an extraordinary door! Wonderful, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old.
1930's home in the Greenridge section of Scranton, PA (see last photo). The door has a solid Douglas fir core covered in a1/8 thick oak veneer. The door has a single recessed (flat) panel on both sides below the glass. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8 thick and provide strength and stability to the door.Has a lovely arrangement of 12 true-divided windows. One window has PLEXI glass; and eleven have their original, hand-blown, wavy glass lites. Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our store).
Strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage on the door are a few minor breaks/cracks in the veener (see 4th photo).Ost of the blemishes that it ha. S will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". (Except the 1 Plexi Glass lite), a. Glass is intact and in great condition with only subtle scratches. Swing : The door is set up to swing into the home towards the left or away towards the right.
We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Door : 33 3/8 " x 82 5 /8 " x 1 3/ 4. Windows : 7 1/2 " W x 13 1/2 " H.
