Vintage Solid Wood Exterior Door. W/4 Windows & 4 Raised Panels. The last 6 photos show a door that we stripped, repaired, and refinished to give you an idea how an old, used door like this could clean up. Although we don't refinish anymore, we could modify and repair it--see more details below.

Handsome, vintage, entry door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid pine, and is stained on one side and painted on the other side.

It has 4 raised panels on both sides, and 4 windows. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware.

However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our store). Strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Ll of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches. Swing : The door is set up to swing into a house towards your right, or away from the house towards your left. We could change the swing of the door. Message us for a quote.

We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace the panel(s) with glass, vice versa, plug the hardware holes, etc. And we'll give you a quote.
