Side or Back Door w/Wavy Glass & 4 Panels. Antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has.

Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Has a window with a single, wavy glass lite. The door has 1 panel above the glass and 3 panels below the glass. Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware. Strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition.

It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door has a break on the interior side of the lock-stile (see last photo), as well as a small break at the top corner (see 4th photo). Most of the blemishes that it ha. S will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Ll of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches. The door is set up to swing into home towards the left, or away from a home towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction. Message us for a quote.
