Antique Mission Style Entry Door w/13 Windows. The last 5 photos show a door that we stripped, repaired, and refinished to give you an idea how an old, used door like this could clean up.

Although we don't refinish anymore, we could modify and repair it--see more details below. Rare, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is painted on the front and stained on the back. Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has.

Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door has an uncommon, Arts & Crafts style arrangement of 13, true-divided windows. Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware.

However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our store). Uneven Height : The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/2. The cut was made most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to a larger size.

Message us for a quote. Strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. S will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Glass is intact and in great condition with only subtle scratches. The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right or away from a home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction-- message us for a quote. We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Too tall, short, wide or narrow?
