Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door has an uncommon, Arts & Crafts style arrangement of 9, true-divided windows. Hardware : The door is not equipped with any hardware.Uneven Height : The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4. The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller-- message us for a quote.
